A recent study co-authored by GCDTR’s Roy W Beck Jaeb Center for Health Research, published in Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics, examines how continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) metrics relate to severe hypoglycemic (SH) events in individuals with type 1 diabetes. The study used machine learning–derived “virtual CGM” profiles from the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) to evaluate predictors of hypoglycemia risk.
