Georgians Against COVID-19
Are you or someone you know affected by diabetes?
The purpose of this study is to increase COVID-19 testing among minority populations in Georgia and to learn about experiences and opinions regarding COVID-19 testing among minority populations in Georgia.
About The Study
Who Can Participate?Survey participants must:
- Live in Georgia and
- Be 18 or older and
- Meet one of the following criteria: (1) have been diagnosed with diabetes or (2) have a family history of diabetes or (3) serve as a caretaker of someone with diabetes.
What Will I Be Asked To Do?Participate in a 60-minute interview and/or complete two 30-45 minutes surveys at different times. You will be asked to share your experiences with and opinions about COVID-19 testing.
Adults of any age with diabetes or at risk of diabetes are at increased risk for severe illnesses from COVID-19. This important research will help identify challenges and solutions to COVID-19 testing among minority populations in Georgia. You will be compensated for your time and participation.

Who Is Doing This Study?
This study is a collaboration between Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University, and Georgia Institute of Technology. This research is being funded by the US National Institutes of Health and its National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (grant number P30DK111024).
